Standing out in the cold this winter or living in tents doesn’t pass code either. Those tiny houses (assuming they have some kind of heat) would be better & they might even be pretty efficient at conserving heat. If I lived there, I’d surely accept one compared the alternative. If the state insists on building to code, what will it do about those who may perish this winter?
Would anyone be surprised, even 1/1000th of a degree of surprise, if local, state, or federal resources arrived on site with bulldozers to level the temporary shelters?
This is where we are with Governments at all levels. They are not here to help. They are here to preserve their jobs. (with apologies to those in Government jobs who do not fit this description, they do exist)
