Do NOT use a microwave, for anything!
Other than that ... he is spot on, about all food groups/suggestions :-)
You do understand that microwaves are just high frequency radio waves that make molecules vibrate quickly, thereby heating them up. I can understand not wanting to be too close to one during operation, but to claim the food microwaved his harmful for you is just silly.
Reasons?
I use one to heat coffee, to slightly melt cheese on something like a burrito shell and to cook some veggies like fresh or frozen broccoli, cauliflower and whole potatoes.
