A sibling of mine combined alcohol with prescription drugs and almost died, saved only by liver and kidney transplants.
For that reason, as I like to drink, I completely stay away from all those pills and keep myself healthy enough where I don't even have prescription drugs.
Some years back, I had a root canal and the doctor prescribed me some pretty heavy duty painkillers with warnings not to combine with alcohol. I did not even bother filling that prescription. I dulled any pain I had with a strong liqueur over the next couple nights.
Now I don't mean to brag about my ability to hold liquor. As another poster here said, it's more of a curse than a blessing. But if you are going to drink, do not combine it with medications. Also, never drink on an empty stomach as well.
Tylenol (and many other medications) are toxic to the liver by themselves. Combine them with alcohol and you are much more likely to do fatal damage to your liver.

Consuming retinol supplements also makes it harder to process alcohol. Skim milk, orange juice (depends on the brand), and multivitamins have retinol supplements.
In Sweden, they discovered that people who consume more retinol have weaker bones. After that, they stopped adding it to milk.

I avoid Acetaminophen and NSAIDs. That is exactly what is damaging livers, when combined with major binge drinking.
Don’t drink liquor, only wine and beer. Liquor jacks up your tolerance. I don’t really miss it. Beer will be light beer maybe with something bolder added.
Anyone who drinks or takes tylenol regularly, or both, should be taking NAC. It is an otc supplement, and is what is given for tylenol overdoses. I had a patient in the hospital once who had taken tylenol to attempt suicide. She was given liquid NAC. The liquid is nasty; smells like permanent wave lotion. The otc stuff is a capsule that protects the liver. It smells a little funky, but not like the liquid.
