I've been told to reduce my oxalate intake. I miss gorging on chocolate. The rest, I'm reducing bit by bit. Should get my pre-surgery urine test results soon.

Other common oxalate-caused symptoms can also include mood conditions, anxiety, sleep problems, weakness, atherosclerosis, prostatitis and burning feet.

Did I mention it's a green laser TURP surgery?...

No you didn’t. I had that done about three years ago, and it was very rough for me.
I was not prepared for the recovery. For most people it goes smooth, but for others it’s several days of catheters.

If I had it to do over, I would seriously consider doing the urolift.

I can’t say for certain if I have experienced the effects of too much oxalate. Probably because I don’t gorge in any particular oxalate rich food.

Have you noticed ill effects from too much chocolate?

I’ve noticed if I add powdered Vit C to my smoothie or water, I feel lousy the next day. I never thought it was the Vit C, but it is a very potent oxalate crystal precursor.

Funny, OTOH, adding lemon, natural fit. C, to your water apparently inhibits the effects of oxalates.
