Someone stumbling upon a artifact on their own land does not strike me as bungling tomb raiders.
So it was their land, but not their artifacts. Property rights are very different there.
Grave robbing should be left to professionals. This discovery is part of a national treasure, and valuable historical info was likely destroyed.
