“Since being launched in 2016, Safe Haven Baby Boxes have provided parents a discreet and secure option to surrender their newborns.”

Or so they thought until now. Those kids usually aren’t the brightest bulbs and don’t know all of the Terms and Conditions of those boxes. Will the boxes get any more use after the news gets out about Angel Newberry? How many other babies may die because of the fear that a depositor isn’t as anonymous as promised? Not a good situation but someone should be considering the consequences of arresting the girl and then publicizing it.

As long as the baby is unharmed or not dead there is nothing to worry about.

Babies with drugs in the system yes there is a problem.

from google:

“Safe haven laws in the United States allow parents to anonymously surrender unharmed babies to a safe location without facing prosecution. The laws vary by state, but generally include the following features:”...

notice the word “unharmed”

Now if the baby in this story was born at home and was stillborn this woman will be cleared. Otherwise she is ******.
