I have yet to be in a country where people don’t say “OK” all the time.
China, India, Japan, Korea, all Spanish speaking countries, Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, all of Western Europe, most of Eastern.
And not just to me, a ‘Merican, but among each other.
That may be true, but it’s due to the cultural influence of America. “Ok” is a ubiquitous loan word.
You have to say it multiple times overseas. Ok, ok, ok!
