God says otherwise. Labor for 6 days and rest on the seventh. Oh, and BTW, you should also use that 7th day to worship your Creator.
That sounds what he is advocating (though he doesn't mention devoting the seventh day to worship of God):

Until fairly recently, even people in developed Western countries had a six-day workweek. The two-day weekend is a relatively recent innovation brought about, for the most part, by labor unions.
