Nobody said they had to give up all their territory.
Just quit fighting over the territory they've already lost and say no to NATO. It's that simple.
Don't like that deal? They fight for another year and lose it all. That's how it works.

Certainly not while there are still enough UKRAINIANS left who are LIVING, NON-MAIMED AND WILLING TO DIE FOR THE UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT. Of course the number of Ukrainians who meet all three criteria is rapidly dwindling. Is that remaining number close to going below the critical mass needed to prevent collapse? Time will tell.
They don’t have a choice.
