I hear you. I worked on various “projects” at the Air Force Research Lab in NM. I had to follow all the tool protocols, even though I was working in a lab two floors undergound three miles from the flight line. It made me crazy, but I can say we never had FOD. :)
Please. The sort of thing has nothing to do with Airbus. Or Boeing. Or Embraer. Or any other aircraft MANUFACTURER.
It has Everything to do with bad tool discipline at the airline. They violated 100% tool accountability.
you never saw Tim Allen’s HBO Special i guess about the pegboard...

DEI hires are everywhere.
Hi.
I’m flummoxed. How did the meter long nylon tool not interfere with the flux capacitor? And what about the degronificator?
That had to be damaged.
Something fishy about this story.
Were any wallabies hurt?
This incident needs a thorough investigation

I serviced GoldWing motorcycles for quite awhile.
One would not believe the items I’ve retrieved from the bowels of those things...lol
Have you ever heard of the Challenger space shuttle?
what ever...
Go search 10mm socket at Amazon. You can buy whole sets of just 10mm sockets.
since you don’t know what i was talking about, here it is

I believe that the workers at Qantas are unionized.
My all time favorite socket set is a set of Metrich (as seen on TV) I got at Kmart when I was a firefighter in South Lake Tahoe. I use that set all the time. AND I have an entire massive 60” box filled with every socket size from (sae 3/16 to 2”) 4mm to 32mm because ONCE I needed that odd ball size so bought “no skipped sizes” for all the tools I got for my small machine and fab shop. 10s of thousands of tools (probably 100k) and, like you, only use the same 4 or 5 sizes. But the metrich set.... they used lobed contacts so would fit sae or metric. I only with they were sold on a ‘tool truck’ Oh well.
They are clearly the superior airframe, if this didn’t force them to abort.

They need to make the 1.25 meter nylon rod out of metal so they can hear it rattle when the engine is turning.....
Maintenance crews did search for the tool, but it wasn’t found during two inspections the Magoo brothers said.
lmao
