I was in Junior High during the Nixon Administration and Watergate, there NEVER was any Political Discussions in SCHOOL BY TEACHERS and such. We were busy actually learning to... and we all knew which bathroom to use, Why do we allow it now?
I was in high school in a deep red state (in an inner city school) during the Watergate time, and I recall the teachers gathering for long periods in one room and wheeling in a school tv in order to watch the proceedings/hearings together. I had no idea what was going on, I wasn’t following politics or news at all (and I was the valedictorian of my class), but I recall the deep fascination the teachers had on the subject matter and the obvious unity they had on their viewpoints. And yet, they never divulged their opinions or feelings on it to the classes I had. These teachers were mostly young women and mixed sex middle age, and mostly white.
