“It seems to me that the more education some people get the less common sense they seem to have”
I was in college (in Texas!) in the early-mid 70’s and it took me 10 years to overcome the liberal BS I was taught. My liberal mother (who let me think freely at least) once asked me what caused me to become conservative.
I told her the truth: “10 years of relentless exposure to reality.” She couldn’t come up with a response to that so it wasn’t ever mentioned again.
They were unable to break you from the common sense that informed you. Trust me, they tried.
