The United States Department of Education was created during the Carter Administration on October 17, 1979 from the Communist infested Department of Health, Education, and Welfare.

yefragetuwrabrumuy :" A GOP Senate Source has leaked the internal whip-count for the Leadership Vote.
The final votes will be on a secret ballot Wednesday."

Trump should declare the secret whip-count as a "transitional" Senate leadership committee which will be redefined as he takes office.
We don't need another wimpy Senate now that McConnell is leaving, anymore than we need to re-install another Rona McDaniel historically failed leadership.
Another Senate vote should occur after Trump is inaugurated, and not hampered with vestiges of McTurtles legacy of wimpy and pandering Senate direction .
Elections have consequences !

Although I'm glad the dems have no power, the Founder's plan was for one party not to have all the power. There was supposed to be checks and balances in our government. The dems have abused their power to the point that the American people can no longer trust them.

The Republican party will have to use the discipline not to go rogue and grow the government with nothing to keep them in check.

George Washington warned us about political parties.

Pity we didn’t listen.

Copied and pasted:

The system of checks and balances in the United States government prevents any one branch of government from becoming too powerful. This system is established by the separation of powers into three branches:

Legislative branch: Makes laws
Executive branch: Enforces laws
Judicial branch: Interprets laws

Each branch has its own authority and can check the power of the other branches. Here are some examples of checks and balances in action:

The president Can veto legislation created by Congress. The president also nominates heads of federal agencies and high court appointees.

Congress Can confirm or reject the president's nominees. Congress can also impeach Supreme Court Judges or Presidents.

The Supreme Court Can overturn laws that they believe are unconstitutional. The president nominates Supreme Court Justices, and the Senate confirms them.

Checks and balances are vital to a modern democracy. They help to prevent problems that can arise when decisions are made without proper scrutiny.

Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

Conservatives never go “wobbly”, anonymous nobody.

RINOs pretend to be conservative, and when they reveal their true selves they are considered wobbly conservatives rather than what they truly are.

Where was that copy-pasted from?

The Supreme Court was never, ever intended to “interpret the laws” (which is judicial fiat) but to ensure that laws conform to the Constitution.

The USA is a republic, not a democracy. In a democracy, the legislators have absolute power to enact any laws they want; in a republic, they cannot do that because the Constitution limits their lawmaking power.
