It is instructive to note that those who object to common sense and insist on wokeness are education-by-government types.
Educate the students that the majority of people in America is of European origin, and that Europeans and Americans are the reason slavery is outlawed over most of the planet. that we have laws that are written down at not at the whim of a king. That judges decisions can be appealed. that you can own land, business, and your home. That money is good ( most of the time). The NEA has decided that they want a lifetime employment bureaucracy instead of a quality of teaching that relates to continuation of the values developed over time and paid for in blood.
