Sounds like a state government promoting insurrection to me.
You know what? Fine! Let’s build a wall around the state, get every conservative, Christian, Jew and like thinking people out of the state and then let them do whatever they want without federal assistance. Then we’ll see how long the state would last.
Executive Orders are going to bite Hairgel in the butt. Supreme Court said years ago that States are not entitled to Fed money if they don’t meet the qualifications to receive that money. Remember the change of the drinking age from 18 to 21? FHWA money was tied to the increased age - Don’t increase the age, then no FHWA money for you. The Fed Gov’t can place conditions on the states to receive Fed money. For instance, an EO to the US dept. of Education to not send education funds to states that allow CRT and/or DEI to be taught, those subjects harm the kid’s learning more than it helps them.
