Many fond memories. Our HQ was a short walk to the O Club. My daily commute from Traben-Trarbach was 30 miles, but with one traffic light. Took me through the Urziger Wurzgarten vineyards, just gorgeous. Listened to Radio Luxembourg on the drive.
When I left the base, I was speaking German 90% of the time.
