Here’s what I want.
I want Trump to threaten long prison sentences for any government employee or government appointee or contractor who destroys any government related documents — at all. A full and immediate moratorium on the destruction of any government data, memorandums, plans, procedures — anything. I do not want Democrats or the Deep State to destroy any evidence as the J6 Committee did. Nothing destroyed in any administrative or legislative agency, period, or maximum jail time.
The investigation will have to be massive, Garland has run
“the biggest in history on J6” against essentially resourceless crowd, These guys will be lawyered up with the most expensive in the country. Trump AG will need to pick high leverage targets to split it open.
Mike Flynn identifies John Brennan as the “tactical commander” so he’s got to be the high leverage target of prosecution. Maybe Gina Haspel could be squeezed on the 2020 steal, someone has said there will only be 10 months left before the statute of limitations runs out on 2020 election. Can’t forget her late afternoon visit to McConnell in a congratulatory mood in that dark post election period in 2020. ( I think Bill Barr came by as well.)
As the Dems demonstrated during the Clinton administration, the penalty for destroying evidence is not as great as the penalty of the crime that would be obvious if that evidence were to surface. Dems will probably take their chances.
