Yes it was clear their fear mongering about Trump didn’t move voters to them... and honestly my take is that was never their goal.
I have maintained from day one, that there was never a path to 270 for any democrat this cycle, and the only reason Biden was replaced was to try to save the down ballot.
If you view the Harris campaign’s true goal as motivating their dejected base to show up on election day, and not to actually win the white house, most of the stupid things they engaged in make a lot more sense.
Selecting Walz makes way more sense if that’s your goal. Going full on Trump and his supporters are the devil incarnate, makes way more sense if your primary goal is to engage and fire up your base and not actually win the white house. Etc etc.
I do not for one second believe that the Dems the smart ones ever thougth they had any shot at the White House... the needed to get their base excited and engage to stop a massive down ballot slaughter.
