Florida voters rejected ballot measures Tuesday to protect abortion rights and legalize marijuana, handing victories to Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis and solidifying the state’s new reputation as a conservative stronghold.

"We fought the good fight, we kept the faith, and we finished the race. Thanks to @GovRonDeSantis and our great team for everything they sacrificed over the past months to protect our great state from amendments that sought to attack our families and way of life," DeSantis' chief of staff, James Uthmeier said on X, where DeSantis simply posted that both issues were defeated.

One bright side to this is folks who ran away from blue states during the pandemic might move back because of abortion or lack of abortion laws. Win/win.

Abortion onmy serves the interest of money crazy pimps and rich women of TV and Hollywood.

Otherwise there is inherent socially oriented wealth in large families, and that makes your cat ladies angry only.

If you look at State of Florida’s election website, they break down all the amendments on a county by county, what defeat both amendments especially the abortion amendment, it was the north and west Florida small rural counties that not only didn’t vote 60% for the amendments they complete defeated both amendments, a lot of them in a 60/40 vote.

The 3,000 to 10,000 votes per county added up and defeated both amendments.

yep. Hoping crackheads move North from here. Middle to low income women fair much better settled with a husband and family in support than working for some boss minimum wage, on a welfare plantation or lord knows what.

Abortion, like polygammy/concubinage, only serves the interests of the rich. Is a bit like lottery, a bait for the poor but which serves the rich only

Super happy pot didn’t get legalized. It has destroys all it touches.

Colorado stinks of pot now. DUI with pot is 5 times that of alcohol. Stoners toking and driving is commonplace...and so are accidents. Insurance in Colorado is now sky high. (haha)

Legalizing pot didn’t bring the crime relief since legal pot is over $50/once and criminal pot is $10.

No real change in teens using pot.

Every homeless idiot came to Colorado to smoke pot. Nice places are no longer.

Marijuana will remain abundant in Florida as will other drugs.

Then there was no need to pollute the Florida constitution with a pot amendment. Stupid potheads.

Itwill also remain illegal and in the shadows.

I was in Vegas last month for 10 days. I dreaded walking out of the hotel because the whole outdoors reeked of weed. All I could think of was a skunk or tomcat piss. Florida doesn’t need to be that way.

A friend’s daughter moved to Denver about a year and a half ago.

He recently went out there to bring her home, she couldn’t get back to Florida fast enough.

He sent me some pics of the homeless tent farms on the sidewalks.

Keep voting democrat dummys. SMH

In Denver, the 16th Street walking mall stretches across most of downtown. Nice place. After legalizing pot, the place filled with countless teenaged runaways and young idiots seeking pot. Crime caused it to basically close up. That spread throughout Colorado.

I moved to Colorado in 1984. Great State, really was. That’s gone now and pot had a huge part in its downfall.

The liberals from Kali and Texas did it in. They voted in pot, taxes, liberal politicians. People complain about human poop on the streets and tent cities in San Freako, well, Colorado liberals voted in the same thing.

I am thrilled Florida rejected it.

Colorado stinks of pot now.

Ditto here in Tax-a-Mask-achusetts! I get high walking across the grocery store parking lot and sitting at a red light!

AND I can't believe how many idiot liberals are STILL wearing masks here, smh. They should get high, maybe they'd calm down.
