The Yankee banking and industrial elite that had dominated this country after Appomattox and before the Crash of 1929 were the equivalent of today's financial, cultural, entertainment, and tech elite. The old line Northeastern WASP families dominated finance, the Republican Party, and the prestigious universities, and they had a huge stake in the newspaper chains that were the mass media of that day. The Crash of 1929 put a brake on their dominance, and Franklin Roosevelt, ironically a member of that Yankee ruling class, broke their power through the New Deal.

The current ruling elite is no longer the descendants of the Puritans, the Knickerbockers, and the Quakers. The current elite is still anchored in the Northeast, but with a large California contingent, is mostly white, heavily Jewish or Catholic by background, but just as locked into their worldview as was any Morgan or Rockefeller of 90 years ago.

As the Northeastern WASP elite had their supporters among the middle classes of the North and West and rural America outside the South, the current elite has their core supporters among the personnel in the Fortune 500 companies, the prestigious universities, the medical industry, the Federal and state bureaucracies, and Silicon Valley. As much of FDR's "Brain Trust" came from contrarians out of that supporter class, so Donald Trump, who was close to the entertainment industry and thus like FDR "a traitor to his class", has a cadre of supporters like Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Peter Thiel, and J.D. Vance, who are dissidents in the tech industry.

The current ruling class is more ruthless than the old Yankee elite and they command far more power that J.P. Morgan or John D. Rockefeller could imagine. Faced with the populist uprising of 1932, they relinquished power. (Of course, some Wall Street financiers did attempt to talk General Smedley Butler into leading a Mussolini style coup against Roosevelt.) The current elite will try an "in your face" steal against the populist uprising of 2024. If that fails, they will try something else, perhaps a 9-11 level false flag, perhaps another attempt to assassinate Trump.

She was also too much of a coward to actuall address her supporters and had Podesta, IIRC, go out to tell then to go home.

It's because she was too drunk.

if trump learned anything from his last go around as President, he’ll fire the entire lot of the diplomatic core on his first day, as well as firing all U.S. attorneys, oh yeah, and non-governmental employee contractor Jack Smith and his staff, and all cabinet heads and all departmental heads that serve at his discretion ... no more mr nice guy: look what it got for him last time ...

“That cringe moment was captured by former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power, who recalled in her autobiography how she had invited all female ambassadors to the U.N. to her residence for an election night bash only to watch her dreams of America’s first woman president go up in smoke.”

Wonderful... the feel good story of the day!

… “ when Hillary had the balloons ready to release “ …
My favorite part was when she feigned surprise upon walking out on stage. She posed for two ridiculous “surprised”looks for practice.
