It’s the Corps as I remember it. I hope Marines will always be there for America. In the closing remarks of the tribute, I wish they would have included along with a Marine’s commitment to Nation, family, and fellow Marines, a commitment to the U.S. Constitution. While it’s assumed the two - Nation & Constitution - remain inseperable, it’s not a certainty. As the Nation waxes and wains, a Marine’s supreme allegiance must be to the U.S. Constitution, the guarantor of freedom for all American citizens. It’s the document all Marines swear an oath to uphold. Happy 249th Birthday and Semper fidelis to all.
