At first I thought, most people don’t wear life vests on boats especially yachts. But, then I saw this was in Brazil where they host big wave surfing competitions. And this so called ‘yacht’ had a 5 person capacity.
Also the boat was overweight because the captain took on more passengers than the boat was rated for.
Hit a wave and capsized.
