Government employees cherish job security and their exceedingly generous benefits above all else. I doubt they will do anything to offend their paymasters and put their cushy careers at risk. There is simply too much to lose. JMHO
A common characteristic amongst most government employees is their love of job security. It means everything to them. Very few of them voluntarily leave government for more demanding jobs.
To be sure, many of them serve honorably, but when push comes to shove they are not going to put their careers at risk by questioning orders from the powers that be.
Although we have somewhat different views on the matter I respect you opinion and appreciate the sincere feedback.
Military people are different than what people think of as government workers, different motivation and different personalities, different outlook on American life, different purpose for being in their job and for most it is temporary, a simple checkpoint on their path to duty and personal fulfillment.
