Heck, in WA - to get a Driver’s License as an illegal all you need is a Matricula Consular https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matr%C3%ADcula_Consular where you go to the local Mexican Consulate and state that yes, you are actually Juan Valdez from Dinkytown, Norte Chihuahua, and you get an ID card.
Present Matricula Consular as your ID when you go for your WDL, get WDL and get registered to vote at the same time (i.e. “Motor Voter”).
WA has been dragging its feet about the RealID Act, in which an Enhanced ID or DL has to have proof of citizenship. Next year it’s supposed to be that you can’t get on a plane or military base without RealID, passport or military ID.
And they wonder why WA is so blue....
