Supposedly - with a 'co-pay'. If I decide to do this bionic man implant I will definitely look into my part of the cost. I don't feel much inclined to do it - nor to do it to my insurance company.🤷
My neighbor (in her 70s) had some sort of electrical stim device installed in her knee. She had a knee replacement in 2020 and they botched the surgery so badly she almost wound up permanently crippled. I would see her using a walker and her knee was grotesquely bent to the side. I spoke to her recently and she said she needed to go in for them to tune the device. She walks with a heavy limp, but at least is walking without assistance, which was questionable for a while there.
