OK, LL, I’m putting you in charge of keeping track of all the meds that get advertised on the TV, radio, etc. The one I’m getting really bored with is the bent carrot-—gives me flashes of Bill Klintoon every time it runs across me. I’m thinking the law suits coming out of the phony covid claims are going to hurt so bad that a bunch of this stuff will get shut down——but we still need that list?
Haha! I’ll get right on that. I just turned the TV on and the first thing showing is a commercial for farxiga. The announcer just said it will “lower blood sugar and reduce the risk of complications from diabetes, heart failure, and kidney disease. Ask your doctor if faxiga is right for you!”. It sounds like a person already has to be pretty sick and suffering from complications before farxiga might be useful. Pharma really does create customers, not cures!
Just before I changed the channel, a second commercial came on for RINVOQ. That one is for colitis and Crohn’s diseases. No wonder the networks don’t want us to criticize pharma. They seem to be the only ones paying the bills, as someone here has already pointed out.
