They need to do space stations correctly, obviously they didn’t. How are colonies on Mars going to exist if they have to be rebuilt every 20 years?

Remember when they sold us on the notion that the ISS was easy to maintain and the sections could be replaced if problematic. That thing was supposed to be good for a century. But also remember the Russians gave up on MIR——which they said the same thing about.
I well remember MIR ‘cause I had some fun with it: I rounded up a large section of aluminum pipe, put a kink in it, rigged it out on the road to look like it crashed into the side of the road, and made a little smoky thing to look like it was still working. The funnest part was finding out how many bleeping people didn’t know what MIR was?
We’ll let Boeing build the Mars station. Probly be some likker involved in finding volunteers? Don’t even want to know who’ll be writing the life insurance.
