I can’t trace my ancestors back as far as you, but I can say my family had the pleasure of participating in throwing out the British world order during the first fight for our Independence in the Carolina’s.

I didn’t know that John Smith tried to fry his sausage…for some reason they didn’t manage to put that in my American history book at school.

The John Smith sausage fry is recounted in the book “Savage Kingdom”, the only place I’ve run into it. He took the next boat back to England to recuperate, then later signed on as “security” for the 1st Plymouth voyage. Then, at the Plymouth colony, he worked for my other 9th Grandad-——
