hollywood(are pictures even made there anymore?) is sometimes creative - a few worth the effort - look at Top Gun-Maverick, or the John Wick, Jack Reacher, Mission Impossible, Jason Bourne franchises...

All very good movies. However; (spoiler alert, but the movie is nearly 30 years old) the first Mission Impossible movie really angered me. It was patterned after the 1960s/70s TV show which was very anti-communist and pro-American and featured Peter Graves playing the part of team leader James Phelps. The movie cast Jon Voight in the role of the same James Phelps who was revealed to be a traitor near the end of the movie. Grrr. I swore off the sequels but eventually relented due to their quality.

I do not like Tom Cruise and refused to watch the first one. I finally gave in because I loved the old series (both of them) so much. I was spitting mad at the end of it and haven't watched another one since. I don't care how good the quality. What they did to Jim Phelps was a travesty and a tragedy. He would have never turned traitor. Makes me mad all over again just thinking about it. 🤬
