Thinking of all this led me to thinking how the New York punks were considered so OUTRAGEOUS. Total outcasts. And now look around you…they are everywhere (at least the way they dress). They sell that look at every shopping mall and have done so for decades now. Wearing pink hair meant you were an absolute rebel, and I remember my epic battles with my mom over just one extra piercing in my ear, or just a little strip of colored hair spray for an event. Now, sporting that look marks you as one of the Borg! The punk scene somehow transitioned from “Stick it to The Man!” To “Assimilate now!”
And now we’re the ones who are sounding the battle cry “If they call you garbage, wear a garbage bag!” Did you ever think you would be the new rebels?
OK, you got me⬅❗ 🤷♂️ I admit that I hesitated to use the term and questioned the spelling. But it is so common a term that I just decided to go with it and d**n the torpedoes, full speed ahead! As an amateur linguist I realize that language is always evolving and nuts to the dictionaries - we no longer speak Anglo Saxon ❌ ... I didn't want to do a linguistic search for the term so I just posted it - 💥😂
Speaking of dark MAGA, my hat arrived the other day.
A campaign donation disguised as the purchase of a hat. :)

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house

ever. I will praise you forever for what you have done;
in your name I will hope, for your name is good. I will
praise you in the presence of your saints.

The seasons are all different.
Summer warmer than others.
Few people know that that God originally made the Earth out of cheese.
Adam and Eve were actually in the garden of Edam.

Remember when they sold us on the notion that the ISS was easy to maintain and the sections could be replaced if problematic. That thing was supposed to be good for a century. But also remember the Russians gave up on MIR——which they said the same thing about.
I well remember MIR ‘cause I had some fun with it: I rounded up a large section of aluminum pipe, put a kink in it, rigged it out on the road to look like it crashed into the side of the road, and made a little smoky thing to look like it was still working. The funnest part was finding out how many bleeping people didn’t know what MIR was?
We’ll let Boeing build the Mars station. Probly be some likker involved in finding volunteers? Don’t even want to know who’ll be writing the life insurance.
cripes. who to believe anymore...we have to fact check everyone and everything...here’s the follow-up to this story.
Michelle’s last name was Robinson.
Looks like they’re all carrying less than $950 worth of merch, so it’s all good.
My neighbor (in her 70s) had some sort of electrical stim device installed in her knee. She had a knee replacement in 2020 and they botched the surgery so badly she almost wound up permanently crippled. I would see her using a walker and her knee was grotesquely bent to the side. I spoke to her recently and she said she needed to go in for them to tune the device. She walks with a heavy limp, but at least is walking without assistance, which was questionable for a while there.
This is the kind of question that AI is good for. I asked Copilot exactly what you wrote and got this response:
The movie you’re thinking of is “Smithereens” (1982), directed by Susan Seidelman. It captures the gritty, edgy vibe of the New York punk scene in the late 70s and early 80s
LOL!
Re: season. Does this mean you’re the fall guy? Garden of Edam? That’s a Gouda one!
On the other hand, I can’t stand Russian dolls. They’re so full of themselves.
Did you hear about the woman who loved making archery supplies? Every day she went to work, she quivered with joy!
