No need to use up your own opinion stash. The FedGov has been propping up the MSM for quite some time now. Not just drug adds. Mil recruitment. Useless notices. Emergency broadcast tests which have really spiked. They just did one in the last 12 seconds of the 49er/Seahawk game. Notices of lawsuits like “only leventyseven days to file your claim”. Agreed. I don't think most people are anywhere near as decrepit as the pharma-media have convinced them they are. But what's one of the easiest ways to control someone? Scare them. Make them believe that only with "Medication X" will they have any quality of life. (Or life period.)
Oh, there’s plenty of decrepit out there. I occasionally go to the pharmacy to pick up stuff for others. Usually have to wait on a few folks so have time to gawk around. I started counting the number of meds on the back wall of the place. Lost track over 500 since I can’t see the bottom two shelves. There’s some sickaxx people out there and it gives me the willies to wait in line with them——

going to court usually is a lot more expensive than paying off an accuser.
We docs used to just pay off those accusing us of malpractice even when it was an unavoidable complication. But then some lawyers jumped in to get their slice of the money, so the result was to mandate arbitration and payment if there was a misatake, or else go to court and fight it if it was misunderstanding or anger that something went wrong.
Rich folks are always accused of stuff like discrimination or sexual abuse, and they know the jury will figure give the gal the money. So it’s cheaper to pay off the victim.
There is rape, but date rape is a bit fuzzy. Unless the woman showed evidence of violence (as did Mike Tyson’s victim) it’s often hard to prove.
