It’s very sad that he has been “unknown” for so long. Thanks to those who did the identification and brought him home.

Above is a song written by a local Christian artist about his discovery of a small WWI American cemetery in France as he jogged along a lonely dirt road. Most of the crosses on the graves were marked “Unknown”. The song is a tribute to those that sacrificed everything.
********************
And the seasons change
and the years unwind
and the colors fade
and the questions fill my mind.
Isn’t there a father somewhere
Mother, daughter, sister somewhere
wishing they would soon come home?
Someone knew their hopes and dreams
To someone their name meant everything
so why do they remain unknown?
**********************
At the end of the song:
I know that there’s a Father somewhere
and He’s watching all from somewhere
knowing we will soon come home
He knows all our hope and dreams
He loves us more than anything
and we will not remain unknown
