Jason Fung’s work is great, and he’s so good at explaining everything. I was listening to him on a podcast describing how the adipose fat in the abdomen is being deposited into the major organs (”fatty liver”) and that it is also being deposited into the ducts of the pancreas, therefore blocking insulin from leaving the pancreas. In other words, in Type 2, the beta cells aren’t dying off; they’re being blocked off.
When I stopped it on several occasions, my blood pressure, weight, and cholesterol shot right up.
It's not as much fun as biscuits and pancakes, but it sure works for good health.
