Trump recently appeared at a NYC barbershop. The owner said his energy bill went from 2,000 to 15,000 a month. That raised eye brows. Unfortunately drill baby drill isn’t going to save him. NY green policies has taken megawatts of power generation offline and has to import expensive energy to the grid.
Several years ago, CA mandated higher levels of "green" electricity production, so PG&E started importing hydro power from British Columbia. This led to a deficit in production in BC, so they fired up more coal powered plants to supply the extra demand.
Net result was more CO2 production than before, especially when transmission losses were included. You can be sure that Dem aligned "consultants" or energy brokers made a killing.
