I thought we read that this da**ed p-poor excuse for an airline was finally going bankrupt!?
they had something like 3 or 4 months to tell us they were cancelling our early-booked flights. they didn’t. when we got to the departure gate with our baggage, it wasn’t there anymore. they’d abandoned the airport and left nothing, not even a sign. Fortunately, very fortunately, other airlines’ check-in clerks offered to assist us. They managed to get everyone from our cancelled flights onto other airlines’ flights ... in our case at least, there was an extra $2200+ expense since the substitute airline’s early reservation discount had long gone bye-bye (you don’t get an early-booking discount when you’re accommodated at the very last hour, literally running up the ramp).
AFAIC, Sp**** is a very very dark spirit, indeed!
If they’re still in business, we will never ever attempt to fly them again, NEVER!
ps:
Sp*** also refused to refund our fares, $$$
and
Sp*** also refused to reimburse the extra $2200+ cost for the substitute airline
Latest is they are now talking about merging with Frontier. I don’t think that can save either airline.
