Dangerous Dems at backyard shooting range. The longer you look at the photos, the worse it gets.

1) They are shooting steel at 5-7 yards with rifles, which could’ve killed somebody given the force with which the bullets will ricochet off the steel targets at the at distance. You would instantly get permanently banned at my range if you did that. Zero questions asked.

2) Kinzinger holds his rifle like a complete ninny, and that will never not be funny to me. And pro-tip for @AdamKinzinger: the eye protection works better when it’s on your eyes, not your head. You stupid idiot. Try using your brain for once. You’re lucky you still have one after today.

Dumbass missed the plate entirely

If you're referring to Kinzinger et al ... I didn't watch any of their video. They sure look clumsy in the stills ... and that big scope may have problems at 7 yards. Parallax is real. And then there's the eye-pro on top of his head. I guarantee ... if I'm getting that kind of up close and personal with the steel eye-pro is on my eyes, and I'll probably cover my face with something.

If a scope is set at 100 yards, and you actually use it to target with instead of open sights, You better aim a foot or more below the target at 7 yards...

Or you are NOT going to hit the plate...

Hell, even with open sights ona rifle at 7 yards you would still have to aim 6 inches below the center of the plate to hit it.

I once cycled my 03A3 bolt as fast as I could through three rounds into a refrigerator at a hundred yards with the peep sights. I must have “zened” them in... Because there was one hole in the front, and three slightly off set coming out the back.

Maybe because I had just spent so much time and so many rounds through that growing up? I know if I tried to it again I could never do it. It was a one off experience for sure... But to this day, out of all the firearms I own, I would choose the 03A3 over them all. It could use some sporterization and riddence to the military furniture to be lighter to carry is all.

It seems every ten or fifteen years something odd or never seen by me before will happen while shooting or cleaning or whatever to reconfirm, ANYTHING can happen!

Absolutely, I have seen folks run with a snubnose in their back pocket and have it come out hit the floor and shoot themselves in the ass TWICE...

What are the chances of THAT?

Oh I would agree with that. Don’t ban guns, ban Alec Baldwin. Very good on you!
