The state of Florida is suing the Biden administration over what it claims is a refusal to verify immigration records so that the Sunshine State can ensure the integrity of its voter rolls and prevent noncitizens from voting.

"Because the federal government is refusing to comply with these obligations and frustrating Florida’s ability to maintain the integrity of its elections, Florida files this suit," the lawsuit says.
A little late for this lawsuit, isn’t it?
Back when I grew up, people voted ON ELECTION DAY, not for weeks prior to Election Day (or after Election Day, in close states), but ON ELECTION DAY.
Every day, right now, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE VOTING, and once they vote, they cannot change their vote (although others may do that for them, in close states).
I’m not sure how the Republican Party works, but do you guys think it’s possible that the Republican Party hasn’t realized that MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE VOTING, daily, and still think it’s 50 years ago? I tend to think that, or why else wait until now to file lawsuits to try to clean up voter roles, since MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE VOTING every day?
Anyway, maybe we’ll get a result from this lawsuit some time in late Spring, 2025.
In the meantime, what the REPUBLICANS SHOULD DO, but won’t, is run ads telling the country that the Biden Administration supports Illegals voting, and show pictures of convoys at our border and other, similar, scenes. But they wont...
It’s refreshing to hear English spoken at Winn-Dixie.
It’s rare even to hear English from its staffing!
“A little late for this lawsuit, isn’t it?”
Yep. And if anyone thinks it might reverse an election after they are delusional.
“A little late for this lawsuit, isn’t it?”
I know what you mean but it’s never too late if it helps us in a future election.
I often wondered if I voted on the first day of early voting, and before election day Donald Trump were, God forbid, assassinated, where would my vote go? Wasted?
Are you kidding? That constituency which votes for Biden LOVES illegal voting. They know full well it happens, and support it.
Dems are great at screwing the American public especially throwing elections anyway they can. Why would they open borders to bring in 25 million low IQ illegal immigrants who will do anything since they are given more perks than Veterans.
“Are you kidding? That constituency which votes for Biden LOVES illegal voting. They know full well it happens, and support it.”
80% of them are fine with it. The other 20% think it’s a “Right-wing Conspiracy”, and thus ignore it. Many of them go to church and own guns, but they watch TV News and thus are brainwashed to vote against Trump...they know next to nothing about Biden/Harris because NO ONE TELLS THEM.
That should be a two-way street.
The HAVA (Help America Vote ACT) of 2002 requires:
- HAVA requires regular “maintenance” of the statewide list including removing ineligible voters and duplicate names are eliminated in accordance with the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA).
The states took and still take Fed money under HAVA to be in compliance, yet when asked to remove dead\duplicate and non- citizens voters, they sue to stop the removal.
If they took the dough, they should have to open their voter registration to scrutiny, like Pres. Trump barely tried to do with the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity. He really should have sued the states to gain access and review of states’ voter rolls.
hope he tries again.
Why blame the amorphous Biden Administration? It was people or a person that are blocking following the law. Start at the bottom and sue them all for conspiracy. Someone will sing. And qualified immunity would not apply with a conspiracy charge.
