Thanks for the compliment. I’m not quite as good looking as I once was but I have put lifts in my shoes to compensate.

I’m guessing your really not interested in my comments on your reading library, but I’ll go for it anyway. The salts you are referring to are probably silver iodide flares. This compound is commonly used to seed clouds with.

As an former participant in weather modification activities, let me say weather modification is hard. The articles and headlines you see lead you to believe all you got to do is seed and it works. The “ atmosphere “ combined with earth and the sun make weather modification very complicated. Some low energy level weather events can be modified and have been verified by actual blind studies. I. E. Dissipating cold fog and increasing snow pack by seeding orographic clouds. But when you step into high energy storms such as thunderstorms and the mother of all tropical storms, think about how much energy would be required to modify them. An average hurricane produces an immense amount of power, with estimates suggesting it can generate around 600 terawatts (600 trillion watts) of energy. This staggering figure illustrates the hurricane’s capacity to convert heat energy from the ocean into mechanical energy, primarily through wind and rain formation. This energy output is often compared to the global electrical generating capacity to underscore its enormity; equivalent to 200 times the worldwide electrical generating capacity or about half of the global electrical output in terms of instantaneous power. Another analogy, a 10 megaton nuclear weapon every 20 minutes. It is not feasible to generate or modify these storms.

“Thanks for the compliment.”

You’re welcome.

“I’m guessing your really not interested”

You’re wrong.

“silver iodide flares.”

Yes.

“weather modification is hard.”

I believe that.

” think about how much energy would be required to modify them”

A lot when they were at full power, I imagine.

Trouble is, all I copped to was someone spraying chemicals around; not weather modification.

Lots of reasons to spray chemicals around. And it’s been done pretty routinely throughout history (you got the agent orange joke, right?).
