Thought about moving to Tennessee for a while. Figured the Panhandle is a lot closer. Came home and decided that the grass isn’t always greener. It’s green. I have it pretty nice here lots of times. I crave the sunshine in winter (and every day) but I haven’t seen anything yet that makes me say “I gotta go!”
Part of me loves where I live. Small, quaint Midwest town, where the movers and shakers don’t pay any attention to me. I kinda like flying under the radar like that. People think we’re stupid here. They don’t know how great it is. I’d like for them to keep thinking we’re stupid, is how I look at it.
Agree. Our area is pretty remote. A hundred miles in any direction to a large town.
A few years ago we started getting an influx of old order Amish moving in.
