Bumble was supposed to be different in that the woman was supposed to make the first move, and contact the men. Apparently this was too hard, or women using the app were getting met with a lot of the same things a lot of men deal with on dating apps (ghosting, disinterest, one word answers to questions, and conversations that went to nowhere), so earlier this year I believe the way the app is now supposed to work is more like other conventional dating apps where the men can (and are often expected) to make the first move/send the first message.
I stopped using dating apps a couple of years ago due to them being a waste of time, money, and effort. I’m just working on myself now, and if I meet a woman, I meet a woman. If not, well, just keep working on me.
I found a husband right here on FR. Just had our 20th anniversary.
My advice is to look in places where people are being themselves, and dating sites are usually not that.
