The current composite track has Milton coming directly over my house. Fortunately I am not right on the coast, but about 50 miles inland from Tampa. I am staying put, but expect power to go out, maybe for days. When Hurricane Ian came pretty close, I had to use my chain saw to clear my driveway of a large oak tree that was uprooted before I could leave my house.

I worked several jobs in that long, slowly sloping plain south of the interstate. Biggest hills are the potash spoils piles. 8<)

Landfall might be between Tampa and Sarasota.
The link above shows the storm is pulling in air all the way from Illinois and Indiana.
We have wind from the north here in West Tennessee, it might be because of the storm.
