In bygone days, the rat could only do vote fraud in his own state.

Back then Blue was always the incumbent.

Thank you.

Sorry. I was wrong. Just remembered that way in the 60s and 70s.

Re: "Reagan 1984 landslide victory"

Keep in mind that 86% of voters were white.

Reagan got just 9% of the Black vote, and just 34% of the Hispanic vote.

In 2024, just 65% of voters will be white.

I predict Trump will win the Electoral Vote, but he will get less than 50% of the Popular Vote.

Vols will be OK. Now all that “unbeaten season” pressure is off and they can tend to business.

Heh, no problem!

And Vandy fans dropping their goalposts in the river is just epic.

I think only NBC had the colors opposite (Blue/Red) in 1984 and they later conformed to the other networks. The video linked in this post has it Red / Blue. In 1980 both CBS and NBC had it Blue/Red opposite but ABC it Red/Blue back then same as today. Doesn’t appear the color choices were uniform across all networks until 1992.

You see the Mondale is blue and Reagan is Red: https://youtu.be/dJtWaNoyLcs?si=UovsTW_8qH9iv4cx&t=443 (ABC 1984)

Looks like all of the coverage clips I can find shows that 1976 was literally the *only* year all 3 networks used blue for Republicans and red for Democrats.

In 1972 some used yellow (Republican) and yellow striped (Democrat), and others used yellow for Democrat and blue for Republican and the purpose for both choices was for black and white viewers to be able to see the difference since a lot more of the viewing audience was still using black and white televisions. https://youtu.be/1MPzECzKHUs?si=OAyZDGscJ_dEcUk9&t=777

In 1980, ABC started using red for Republicans and blue for Democrats and has ever since. In 1984, both CBS and ABC used red for Republicans and blue for Democrats.

NBC and CNN (which had joined the fray) were the only ones that had it blue (Republican) and red (Democrat) in 1988.

In 1992, NBC was the only network that used blue (Republican) and red (Democrat) and in 1996 it appears all of them including NBC were uniform in their color choice of red for Republican and blue for Democrat and have been ever since.
