Also, Gilmore didn’t have exceptional chops and wasn’t the virtuoso many famous guitar players are. He just had the ability to make beautiful music with the skills he had. Which is probably the more valuable attribute for a musician.

Perhaps, he had had some pretty good riffs with the notes per second that many like. As for me I prefer his style of music.
