Neat story with it. Bought it back in the 70’s from the guy who brought it back. He got old and figgered his family wouldn’t understand it. Had a white spot on the barrel from a blood drip. Said he was too busy at the time to check it and wipe it off. Kind of like spilling ketchup on a blue gun barrel? Wasn’t pitted tho so I was able to dress it and re-blue the barrel so’s it looks great.
And now the Broomhandle stock has its lug back on. For a long time the ATF guys said we could keep them un-papered if we took off the lug. But a few years ago they changed their mind saying if it’s that doggone old we don’t care.
