Since the Korean Conflict, the US has let the politicians run the wars. And guess what? We haven't won a war since, which says a lot about gov't efficiency in running anything. The Rules of Engagement for politicians is optics, not winning the war. Politicians are driven by one thing: Does this make me look better at election time. The US has a standing military with trained people to run it. Let them fight the wars and set the ROE.

Wars are messy. When Truman approved dropping the Atomic bomb on Japan, it was done to end that war. If he hadn't, we'd still be fight the Japanese door-to-door in Tokyo. Shortening the time we are at war saves lives on both sides.

Let the IDF do what they need to do to carve out the cancer that prevents peace in the area.

Yes, if we go to war, we must win it quickly and decisively!
No fighting for the hearths and souls of the enemy, but to make them cry “uncle”!
