Actually, there is a very plausible theory that the ‘vikings’ ran cosatally into Hudson bay and up rivers south to what we now call Minnesota.

It seems too much of a conincidence that a Scandanavian guy found it on his farm. Now if a Native American found it, I would suspect it might be real. I have no idea, one way or the other.

I'm unfamiliar with the Oklahaoma find, and what the scholars have to say. I'll check it out.
