The actor’s father, Robert DeNiro Sr, was reportedly a flamboyant homosexual painter who essentially abandoned DeNiro and his mother to pursue a lifestyle of sexual relationships with men. OJ Simpson’s old man swung the same way, and we know how OJ turned out. Both Bobby and the Juice grew up to be severely angry, abusive, misogynistic men.
Say what you want about Donald Trump, but it’s obvious to one and all that the man is an alpha patriarch who takes care of a large family. Might not Bobby DeNiro see as Trump the embodiment of paternal paradigm that was absent in his own life and thus hate him for that reason?
Or maybe he’s just full of it.
