It used to be a thing that people put souvenirs in walls, like a time capsule. When opened the cemented-up chimneys in my house, I found knitted baby booties, a liquor bottle, some bus tokens and coins.

When I read/hear “47 years ago”, my mind takes me to the 1950’s, or so, not back to my high school days - so depressing...

When there is wire mesh lathe in those plaster walls it plays hell with WiFi signals. Plan on an access point per room, darn near, if you want excellent WiFi. The stuff makes the rooms into Faraday cages.
