She didn't have to throw it in the trash. She could have found some place or person to hold it for her while she attended the game. As a season ticket holder, she could have gotten her rep to come out and held the hat for her.

Brett Butler went to a Dodger game with a non-transparent bag and was turned away. The audience is clearly told that only transparent bags are allowed. She fought and was arrested because she didn't want to give up her bag or leave.

Here is an idea for O’Keefe or some other alt-media reporter. Set up people wearing clothing with differing political opinions. Send them to various sporting events. See if security harasses the conservatives while leaving the liberals alone.
