Too many guys have had their lives ruined from some of the punishment of these huge guys moving at high speed. And the problem is that some of the technological improvements of the past made guys more willing to hit harder. Guys weren't as willing to lead with their heads when they were wearing leather helmets.
The game is going to die if they don't take steps to reduce injuries - lawsuits alone will kill it.
